Florida Aviation Academy is a FAA
Part 141 School
Part-141 Schools are FAA (Federal Aviation
Administration) approved. They follow a specific syllabus for each
flight training program and their operations are monitored by the
agency.
What
does Part 141 mean to you? It means that you receive a tried and
true training program that not only saves time but saves money that is
easily lost in an unapproved, unorganized program. For example, due to the effectiveness in assuring well trained
and safe pilots under 141, the FAA allows the Private pilot check ride
at 35 hours (versus 40 under under Part 61), Instrument training at 35
hours (versus 40 hours under part 61), and ultimately Commercial
check-ride at 190 hours Versus 250 hours under Part 61. In addition, Private Pilot graduates can immediately start their
instrument rating without having to amass the required 50 hours of
cross-country time under Part 61.
Students transferring from Part 61 schools or arriving with Private
Licenses from outside the US will be evaluated by the chief flight
instructor and given credit for their previous flight training as per
applicable Federal Aviation regulations.
Florida Aviation Academy's Accelerated Approach
Florida
Aviation Academy has taken a unique approach to flight training. As a philosophy
we like to have low student/instructor/aircraft ratio (maximum of 2 students per aircraft and per flight instructor)
at the school at any given time so that we can immerse the students in
their studies with special emphasis on their flying.
Florida Aviation Academy's 0 hours
to Commercial License takes 12 weeks in comparison to 6-8 months
offered by most other flight schools and colleges for the same
program. During this time the students will earn their Private
License, Instrument Rating, fly approximately 70 Hours of Solo Cross
Country for time building and ultimately earn their Single or Multi
Commercial Licenses at 190 hours under FAA Part 141 regulations.
This program is designed for individuals who want to become
professional pilots. It prepares them for the fast paced and
multi-tasked environment that is common to all air carriers.
Each instructor has only one or two
full time students and all instruction is one on one, in contrast to the
traditional classroom approach. This method allows
individualized attention and is custom tailored to maximize efficiency
of each students program. Every student is scheduled for two,
two-hour lessons with their instructor. The time in between is
used for studying on computer stations or watching the audio-visual
tapes that compliment each day's lesson. Students typically
spend 6-8 hours a day at the school, 6 days a week under this program.
This offers many benefits for the
student. Immersion in both theory and flight leads to steeper
learning curve over time with better retention rates. This
translates into cost savings for the student in many fronts. Our
students are also more proficient and safer in their flying.
This is simply due to the fact that flight lessons take place twice a
day 6 days a week rather than 3-4 times per week at most other
schools. Practice makes perfect. Practice often and ...
It allows the students to be away from their homes or jobs for a
shorter period of time reducing day to day living expenses at least by
half.
Florida Aviation Academy limits the
student count so that there are no scheduling problems with either the
instructors or the aircraft and we can deliver what we promise.
We have over 95% success rate for being on time and within budget.
This approach which we hope you will
like, has one additional benefit. Having low student/instructor
ratio allows us to follow each student's progress on a daily basis so
that they are kept on track with their scheduled programs. The
daily briefings that the chief instructor has with each instructor
allow Florida Aviation Academy
to address any learning challenges immediately.
Our accelerated
programs, one on one attention, and continuous quality control is what
separates Florida Aviation Academy
from every other flight training institution.
Everything we do is a function of this mission.
